I absolutely LOVE this book! I am a huge fan of Beauty and the Beast. This is THE PERFECT adult adaptation. I finished it in 3 days and already started the 2nd in the trilogy.
MOST ADDICTIVE AND AMAZING READ!!!! I absolutely loved this book!!! I was given the amazing ability to be apart of ARC group for Bend Her which I am so thankful for. Before reading this book, I was struggling with finding books that made me want to read. This book was the book to make me fall in love with reading again. This book is a dark fantasy romance that is a retelling of Beauty and the beast. I am huge fan of dark romance and fantasy, but I typically not a fan of retellings. I have tried other retellings before and I just could not connect with reading style. So I decided to this one and give Beauty and the Beast retelling one more chance, and I am so glad I took a chance with Bend Her. I was hooked from the first page. The attention to the details with the characters and the surroundings was amazing. I fall in love with Lisane and Rhaim, but my absolutely favorite was Finx (The Spider Cat). I am big into spanking, I enjoy spanking being included in this book. I absolutely loved the spice level and type of spice in this book. I could not put this book down. I need Break Her now. I had to buy a physical copy of Bend Her because I love this book so much. When the next book come out, I will be ordering a physical copy as well . I already recommend Bend her to several of my friends because Cassie Alexander become my new favorite author. The whole book is filled with spice and amazing sass which I love. There is so much more I could say about this book Thank you, Cassie Alexander, for writing a book that made me realized why I fall in love with reading. I can't wait until May to read Break Her. I really do hope Cassie Alexander does some merchandise with Finx on it, Please and Thank you!!
The writing and story were so fresh, so beautiful. I love the premise, Beauty and the Beast meets Howls Moving Castle while still having a unique plot and an even better writing style that was such a pleasure to read. Some parts I highlighted just for the beauty of the prose. The characters were fresh/not washed out or cliche. I'm ready to start book 2
Oh ho ho!! LOVELY slow burn, fantastic beauty and the beast story! I love the descriptiveness, I feel like beauty and life poured into this world, the story, the characters. Happy I finally took the plunge and happy I bought the whole series!
Okay - WHAT!? I received an ARC copy for an honest review. I loved this story more than I anticipated. The Beauty and the Beast elements are certainly there but I love how Cassie still made her version very much her own. The characters were all written extremely well. Even characters that had little "page time" were given so much personality that I visualized exactly who they were very quickly. This is a steamy book with great slow-burn. Great taboo kinks (check content warnings!) On the spicy scale I rank it a 2 out of 5. And I'm assuming it's only going to get spicier! I cannot wait to continue this series. Thank you Cassie for creating an entertaining, spicy, and dark fairytale retelling!
Beautifully written. I couldn’t put it down. Very slow burn but the snippets of desire shown by the MF are enough to keep it feeling spicy. There is a lot of internal monologue but it’s wonderfully written. Never repeated. Deep and intense enough to keep me interested. Straight onto book 2.

I’m obsessed and can not wait to start the next one. Just go in blind unless you have triggers look into them. This dark beauty and the beast retelling were delicious. I love mysterious plots that keep me guessing and wanting more. This morally grey character Rhaim can take me any day and anyway. Lisane has been sheltered for most of her life but she’s a fighter for sure. As someone who doesn’t always read Fantasy this was easy to follow. The world and magic system I enjoyed. Now before you look at my spice rating the reason it is a one is because they don’t do the full deed. But let me tell you the intimate, dark thoughts, desires and punishments… JUST READ IT. I’m all hot and bothered… Very excited for the next book! Also, shout out to the Narrators of this book Victoria Mei & Matthew Holland fantastic and one of my favourites so far.
