Hooked: A Dark, Contemporary Romance (Never After Series)

I absolutely loved this dark and spicy retelling of Peter Pan. This story had me smiling due to how well I felt Hook and Wendy connected. Their back and forth got a little cheesy at times, but I loved it. The storyline flowed, making it a very quick and easy read. Hook met Wendy Michaels (the daughter of his enemy - Peter Michaels) in his bar one night while she was out with friends. He immediately decided to make her his pet as a way to try to tarnish her innocence. which, in his mind, would make her no longer Daddy's sweet little shadow. This book had me drooling over Hook like never before as soon as the first line came out of his mouth. This man breathes red flags but makes you want to absolutely anything he asks of you. I know this is a standalone story, but I would absolutely love to hear more from the characters. I highly recommend this book.

Does anyone else get heart palpitations when they think of Harley and the joker? That obsession? Well, consider if it was mutual obsession, add a whole lotta spice, a crazy b*stard with more trauma than ive ever seen an author give a male character, some intrigue, a good girl gone bad and you end up with this masterpiece. It was beautiful, it made me cry, it made me laugh, it made me gasp and it made me make sounds that definitely don't belong in a review 🔥🔥🔥

I'd seen this book in one of my Facebook groups and put it on my tbr list and took a while to come back to but I am super glad I did. Dark, twisty, a bit angsty, spicy and sappy this book hits all the points. Watching Wendy come out of her shell and watching hook regain his soul were amazing character development. Definitely would recommend I got the audio book also and the voice actors are pretty great at telling this story

Al principio (la primera mitad del libro) me costaba mucho leer por que estaba harta del hombre misterioso y malhumorado que enamora a la chica. Pero OMG los cambios de eventos y lo rápido que empieza todo a cambiar que de haberme tardado 6 días en la primera mitad, la segunda la leí en un día! Vale la pena mil veces.

This was a really fast read for me since I had a day filled with reading and relaxing. I did not expect the book to be so dark but I actually really liked it and was completely obsessed with the story. It reads really easy and I just didn't want to put the book down. I'm excited to read the rest of the books in this series!
