A friend recommended this book to me and I decided to give it a go. Was instantly hooked and ended up finishing it in a few hours! On to the second one now!
I binge read this set because it is SO.Effin.Addictive! Book 1 starts us off with some major character development and I am in absolute awe of our FMC, River. And I have never read a page 1 hook like this one!! Lots of steamy steam, like make you melt I can’t believe I read that, steam. I loved the angst between River and Kai - he is such a loveable idiot lol Writing this review after having binged the set I can confidently say that not only is this book amazing, it is followed up with books that level up as you go. If you like strong FMCs, hot steam, bread crumbs through a series, your love stories with spice, a little darkness, and a whole lot of naughty, or just want to disappear into a well written world that will pull you under - this is the book for you!
This book was a roller coaster of emotions! River is a strong, independent, beautiful young woman who does whatever is necessary to take care of her family. I mean whatever she has to!! I was not expecting the mystery & suspense but I’m loving it! I can’t wait to see what happens next.

I came across this book on stuff your kindle day. Even though I read the blurb, I forgot it was a 6 book series when I started reading it and wondered how the story could conclude at 95% into reading it, to find out it had a cliff hanger! 😳 Excellent read though. I downloaded it onto my Kindle and was captivated by the author(s) style of writing and immediately vibed with the FMC Rose, or should it be River....... 😉 and couldn't put it down. So here we are 2 days later and I'm excited to read the other books to find out what happens. Strong FMC, complicated love life, plenty of angst, a little frustration at the angst on behalf of the FMC, spicy, mysterious and full of suspense as well. Absolute wee gem 👌🫶
That was ummmmmm yea whoa. Brilliant, hot, steamy, heart wrenching, you name it, I felt it. I am kinda lost forbwords on what this book did to me.
I loved this book. It had me gripped from page one, I mean, what a page one 😅 River's story has me hooked and I'm going straight away and starting book 2. I can see myself devouring these books.
