Oh my goodness! This book was well written kept me on the edge of my seat! Sin was the star of this book . He loved hard, possessive of his little demon and extremely strategic with how he kept the game of Chess spinning the entire .. until CHECKMATE! Elli got on my nerves for more than half of the book , but it was so sad for her to go through the things that she endured from the age of 13 years old. This book was so good minus some of the sexual torture that Ellie enjoyed! Just not my kink , at one point I kept saying to my self . I think I would have a heartache from what she allowed sexually to happen to her by Sin ! A must read not I need to read Carnage.
This book and every other one in the series is top notch. For dark romance readers, you and in the right place. For Roses/vanilla/rainbow romance reader, you are in the wrong place. Read trigger warnings before reading the book. The book might be upsetting to some readers so read trigger warnings first. Other than that, the books is 😘. I am not afraid of damaged books when it comes to Amazon, you can always return it if the book comes damaged.
When I first started this book I was alittle weary bc the ritual was everything I definitely found out I had new kinks and the plot I didn’t think this would would be on the same level but my goodness I loved it and I love that they intertwined U will know what I’m saying when u read it I cannot wait to start carnage!!!

From the very beginning, I was gripped by the unpredictability of the narrative. Every time I thought I had it all figured out, the author skillfully threw in curve after curve of suspense, leaving me on the edge of my seat. This book made me experience a rollercoaster of emotions—anger, tears, and even moments of yelling at the characters in disbelief. The protagonist's journey, wrapped in the complexities of the secret society and power dynamics, is both harrowing and enticing. Ein sehr gutes und spannendes Buch
This book was amazing but certainly not for the faint hearted, if you are wanting a happily ever after story you’ve got to wade through a lot of disparity to get there but the payoff is worth it. I have never felt as much sympathy with a character as I did with Elli, she can never catch a break past or present and though you know he’s toxic, Sin is the the lesser of the evils for her, man are there some evils in the Lords world. This is my second book in Shantels Lords series ( trying to read a series in order for once) and though a standalone story I do like how a couple of scenes crossover into the second book from the first. I thought ‘The Ritual’ was a dark story but compared to ‘The Sinner’ it was light grey.
Well, I have no idea why it took me so long to read this. I've read all other books, but for some reason I didn't pick up Sin's book. Until now, until I basically spoiled myself when reading Carnage. And boy, do I regret not picking this up sooner. This was SO good. Sin is absolutely everything. I absolutely adore Elli. She's amazing and even after everything she's been through she's still so strong. She's just as crazy as Sin. It makes them so perfect for each other. And Sin? I have no words for this man, because any assumptions I had about him? Gone. Blown away. I had no idea what to expect with him, but damn. This was so spicy, so twisted. I really, really had no idea how this was gonna turn into a happy ending. It really looked like it was impossible. But Sin would do anything to make Elli his. Even if it means giving himself up. She'll always be it for him. Always.
This book was all I expected it to be and then some. Dark to the core. Elli's story broke my heart, abused and manipulated since she was a child, her body and life always a tool at the mercy of men. And Sin, what a man, devoted to her from the beginning till the end. I just wanted to see Elli set the world on fire, fight against the abuse they kept throwing at her and destroy every one of them, she deserves the world. Beautiful story, definitely best book of the year. Can't wait to read Tyson's story!!!;
